The HD6 model combines race-level efficiency with uncompromising reliability. A 29-inch front wheel with 180 mm of travel delivers stability at high speeds, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel and 165 mm of rear travel provide agility and responsiveness on technical terrain. Geometry featuring a 64° head tube angle, a bottom bracket height comparable to the Mojo HD5, and 435 mm chainstays creates the ideal balance between handling and stability.
The frame is available in five sizes, allowing for a more precise fit for every rider. As frame size increases, the seat tube angle progressively steepens, maintaining an optimal position over the rear wheel. When choosing a frame size, we recommend focusing primarily on reach and top tube length.
The suspension is progressive enough to work exceptionally well with coil shocks, making it ideal for long, demanding descents where air shocks can often fade. Despite the new rear suspension layout, the system remains faithful to the proven DW-Link design, which delivers efficient climbing without the need for heavy shock damping—resulting in better traction and the signature “floating” feel for which Ibis frames are renowned.
The Traction Tune system provides outstanding grip through specially tuned light damping, allowing the wheels to precisely track the terrain even at high speeds—without loss of control or speed.
To reduce maintenance needs, IGUS bushings are used at the most exposed points. These are lighter, stiffer, and virtually maintenance-free—and we offer a lifetime free replacement for them.
The frame is constructed from premium carbon fiber, optimized for the perfect balance of strength, weight, and stiffness. Without a shock, it weighs under 2.7 kg, and the complete bike can start at just 14.5 kg. Internal cable routing runs through carbon tubes, enabling quick and hassle-free installation.
The downtube is protected by a thick rubberized guard that deflects rocks, while the ribbed chainstay protector reduces noise and prevents damage. Additional linkage guards protect against impacts from mud and stones thrown up by the rear tire.
To top it all off, the HD6 comes with a lifetime warranty. If the fault is ours, we fix it. Simple.
