The HD6 combines racing efficiency with uncompromising reliability – a 29-inch front wheel with 180 mm of travel delivers stability at high speeds, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel with 165 mm of travel ensures agility and responsiveness on technical terrain. Its geometry features a 64° head tube angle, bottom bracket height comparable to the Mojo HD5, and a 435 mm chainstay length, creating the perfect balance between handling and stability.
Available in five frame sizes, the HD6 allows for precise rider fit. The seat tube angle increases with frame size, maintaining an optimal riding position over the rear wheel. When choosing a frame, we recommend focusing on reach and top tube length.
The suspension is progressive enough to work exceptionally well with coil shocks, ideal for long, demanding descents where air shocks often fall short. Despite the new suspension layout, the system stays true to the proven DW-Link, which provides climbing efficiency without requiring heavily damped shocks – the result is better traction and the famous “hover-bike” feel that makes Ibis frames so highly regarded.
The Traction Tune system delivers outstanding grip with specially tuned light damping that allows the wheels to follow the terrain precisely, even at high speeds – without sacrificing control or momentum.
To reduce maintenance, IGUS bushings are used in the most exposed pivot points – they are lighter, stiffer, nearly maintenance-free, and backed by a lifetime free replacement guarantee.
The frame is crafted from premium carbon, optimized for the perfect balance of strength, weight, and stiffness – weighing under 2.7 kg without the shock, while complete builds start at just 14.5 kg. Internal cable routing runs through carbon tubes, ensuring fast and easy installation without hassle.
The downtube is protected with a thick rubber guard that deflects rock strikes, while ribbed chainstay protection reduces noise and prevents damage. Additional link guards shield against mud and rock impacts from the rear tire.
And to top it off – the HD6 comes with a lifetime warranty. If it’s our fault, we’ll fix it. Simple.
