Model HD6 combines racing efficiency with uncompromising reliability – the front 29-inch wheel with 180 mm of travel provides stability at high speed, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel and 165 mm of rear travel ensure agility and responsiveness on technical terrain. The geometry with a 64° head tube angle, bottom bracket height comparable to the Mojo HD5, and a 435 mm chainstay creates the ideal balance between handling and stability.
It is available in five frame sizes, which allows for more precise adjustment to every rider. The seat tube angle gradually increases with size, maintaining an optimal position over the rear wheel. We recommend focusing primarily on reach and top tube length when choosing a frame.
The suspension is progressive enough to work excellently with coil shocks, which is ideal for long and demanding descents where air shocks often give up. Despite the new rear suspension layout, the system remains true to the proven DW-Link, which ensures climbing efficiency without the need for heavily damped shocks – the result is better traction and the familiar “floating” feel that makes Ibis frames so highly regarded.
The Traction Tune system delivers exceptional grip with specially tuned light damping, allowing the wheels to follow the terrain precisely, even at high speeds – without loss of control or speed.
To reduce the need for maintenance, IGUS bushings are installed at the most exposed points, which are lighter, stiffer, and almost maintenance-free – we offer free lifetime replacement for them.
The frame is made of premium carbon, optimized for the perfect balance between strength, weight, and stiffness – without a shock it weighs less than 2.7 kg, while the complete bike starts at just 14.5 kg. Internal cable routing runs through carbon tubes, allowing for quick and easy installation without hassle.
The downtube is protected with a thick rubber guard that deflects stones, while ribbed chainstay protection reduces noise and prevents damage. Additional linkage protectors shield against mud and stone impacts from the rear tire.
To top it off – the HD6 comes with a lifetime warranty. If it’s our fault, we fix it. Simple.
