It All Started with DJI Avinox \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything connected to VETTA Trade<\/strong> and Velduro bikes<\/strong> started earlier this year when the first models equipped with the DJI Avinox drive system<\/strong> began hitting the market.
Already last year, when DJI first presented its motor, we said to ourselves: we need to get a brand with the Avinox drive under our distribution \u2013 VETTA Trade.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I think we got exactly what we were looking for \u2013 and even more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a few video calls with the VELDURO<\/strong> team, it quickly became clear that we share the same vision and approach to bikes, so we decided to take the brand under our wing.
Today, we\u2019re proud to be the exclusive distributor for Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Velduro Rogue<\/strong> is a perfect example of how to combine cutting-edge technology, modern geometry, and that special feel you expect from a top-tier e-enduro bike.
160\u2013180 mm front travel, 160\u2013172 mm rear, i-Track suspension<\/strong>, mullet or 29″ configuration<\/strong>, a long wheelbase<\/strong>, and a slack 63\u00b0 head angle<\/strong>, yet a compact 440 mm rear end<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a recipe for a bike that\u2019s incredibly stable at high speeds yet still agile when the trail gets tight, technical, or slow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Velduro Brand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who haven\u2019t heard of them yet \u2013 Velduro Bikes<\/strong> is a New Zealand e-bike brand that wants to shake up the industry with a genuine grassroots<\/em> approach.
Founded by three passionate riders \u2013 two from New Zealand and one from China \u2013 their goal is simple: build a world-class e-enduro bike at a fair price<\/strong>.
In collaboration with DJI<\/strong>, they\u2019ve created a bike that combines advanced technology, proven geometry, and pure riding passion \u2013 far from corporate offices and close to the riders who truly live for mountain biking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Months of Waiting \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After months of waiting, we finally received two Velduro Rogue frames!<\/strong>
One will serve as a promo bike<\/strong> for our partner shops to show to customers, while the other is reserved for a proper dream build<\/strong> \u2013 SRAM X0 Transmission, Hope GR4 brakes, Hope Fortus 30 wheelset<\/strong> \u2026 but more on that another time. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Impression Out of the Box<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment you open the box, it\u2019s clear that the Velduro team knows exactly what they\u2019re doing.
The frame is carefully packed \u2013 nothing moves, nothing can get scratched or damaged during transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Velduro frame<\/strong> itself is beautifully finished, with no rough details anywhere.
And the best part? The bearings are properly greased<\/strong> straight from the factory \u2013 something you rarely see.
Usually, that area is bone dry and needs a full teardown before the first ride, but here it\u2019s obvious Velduro thought of everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They really did think of everything.
Just look at how cleverly they solved the annoying cable rattle problem<\/strong> on descents!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

All accessories \u2013 Avinox charger, headset, crankset, and small parts<\/strong> \u2013 are neatly packed and organized in the box.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Our \u201cBudget Build\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our test bike<\/strong> was built from the parts we already had lying around!
Fork, handlebar, and stem came from our S-Works Turbo Levo<\/strong>, while the brakes, wheels, and drivetrain came off our Ibis HD6<\/strong>.
The shock was borrowed from a friend\u2019s Specialized Enduro<\/strong>, and the dropper post was found buried somewhere in the garage.
A proper Frankenstein build!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Braking is handled by Sram Maven brakes<\/strong> combined with Galfer Shark rotors<\/strong> and G1554T brake pads<\/strong> \u2013 probably one of the most powerful setups out there.

Why I Was So Excited About This Bike \u2013 i-Track Suspension!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The i-Track suspension<\/strong> system is something special, used by brands like Norco<\/strong> and Trek<\/strong> as well.
It\u2019s what gives the Rogue its unique mix of sensitivity and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the build had to be finished off with a premium Renthal Fatbar handlebar<\/strong>, Apex stem<\/strong>, and Lock-On Traction grips<\/strong> \u2013 a combination that delivers perfect control and trail feel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DJI Avinox Motor \u2013 First Impressions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As expected \u2013 incredible!<\/strong>
The DJI Avinox<\/strong> motor is a huge step ahead in terms of power, torque, and overall integration.
On the first day, I tested it in Turbo mode<\/strong> and, honestly, it was something I\u2019d never felt on an e-bike before \u2013 a real rocket ship<\/strong>.
The power delivery feels very natural \u2013 nothing like Bosch, for example \u2013 and that\u2019s something I really appreciate.
Through the Avinox Ride app<\/strong>, you can fine-tune everything, even the overrun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I weigh 95 kg, and our test bike sits at 23.5 kg<\/strong>, equipped with Double Down tires, aluminum wheels, and a Renthal cockpit.
In Turbo mode (105 Nm, 1000 W peak)<\/strong> I easily climbed 1300 vertical meters<\/strong>, finishing with about 10 % battery remaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even under full load on long climbs, the motor stays whisper-quiet<\/strong>, with zero increase in noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day I toned it down \u2013 set Turbo<\/strong> to 90 Nm and 800 W peak power, because 1000 W was honestly a bit too much for my taste.
Most of the time I rode in Auto mode<\/strong>, which automatically adjusts assistance based on terrain resistance \u2013 similar to eMTB mode<\/strong> on Bosch systems.
DJI uses an incline sensor<\/strong> and a smart algorithm that even knows which gear you\u2019re in<\/strong>, including with mechanical drivetrains!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the 800 Wh battery<\/strong>, I managed just over 1600 vertical meters<\/strong> in Auto mode.
I\u2019m sure it could go even higher, but with two small kids and a full-time job, the body isn\u2019t quite what it used to be \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enough about the Avinox system \u2013 there are plenty of in-depth reviews online.
The fact remains: DJI Avinox is ahead of everyone else. And by a big margin.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

How Does the Velduro Rogue Climb?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The climbing position on the Velduro Rogue<\/strong> feels relaxed and natural.
The 78\u00b0 seat tube angle<\/strong> keeps you seated comfortably and perfectly centered over the motor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I never had to lock out the rear shock while climbing \u2013 the i-Track suspension<\/strong> keeps the bike firm and efficient even under power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, for the record \u2013 I\u2019ve never made it up our local climbs (Sveta Gora and \u0160kabrijel) this fast.<\/strong>

How Does It Ride Downhill?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mentioned, we built the bike from whatever we had at hand.
Up front, RockShox ZEB Ultimate (170 mm)<\/strong>; in the rear, Fox X2 Factory (205\u00d762.5 mm)<\/strong> \u2013 giving about 160 mm of travel<\/strong>.
The OneUp 240 mm dropper post<\/strong> fits all the way into the frame (yes, completely!).
We used a mullet setup \u2013 29\u201d front, 27.5\u201d rear<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first thing I noticed on the descent was the weight<\/strong>.
It\u2019s immediately clear that the Rogue is lighter<\/strong> than my previous S-Works Turbo Levo<\/strong> \u2013 it actually feels closer to my old Kenevo SL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I first tested it on our Bataljonka trail<\/strong> (this year\u2019s Shimano Super Stage<\/strong> on the SloEnduro series) \u2013 a mix of flat turns, steep sections, and a few \u201cflat-out\u201d straights.
The 63.5\u00b0 head angle<\/strong> and overall low, long geometry<\/strong> make it incredibly stable at high speed, while the 440 mm rear end<\/strong> keeps it agile and playful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s clear this bike was built for steep, rough, and gnarly trails<\/strong>, where it truly settles in and shows its character.
On easier singletracks, you might get a bit bored. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The i-Track suspension<\/strong> makes the bike feel glued to the ground while still offering that bottomless<\/strong> feel \u2013 plush, supportive, and incredibly composed.
There\u2019s practically no pedal kickback<\/strong>, and the bike holds a line perfectly<\/strong> without feeling twitchy, even when the trail gets blown out and rough \u2013 in fact, that\u2019s when it comes alive.
Oh, and did I mention? It\u2019s the quietest bike I\u2019ve ever ridden<\/strong> \u2013 all you hear is the suspension and the tires gripping the dirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only \u201cproblem\u201d? It gives you so much confidence<\/strong> \u2013 maybe even too much.
It\u2019s such a confidence-inspiring<\/strong> bike that you quickly find yourself charging into sections faster and braver than you planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Magic Carpet \ud83d\ude42<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the i-Track suspension<\/strong>, the rear shock moves freely through its stroke without resistance.
The biggest difference I noticed was under hard braking on rough terrain<\/strong> \u2013 the bike stays stable, and the shock doesn\u2019t \u201clock up\u201d; it continues to work smoothly and effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m genuinely stoked<\/strong> about this bike.
Finally, a real E-Enduro beast<\/strong>.
I\u2019m confident the Velduro Rogue<\/strong> will be one of the best E-Enduro bikes of 2026<\/strong>, once it becomes available to end customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only thing to get used to is a bit of extra chain noise<\/strong> due to the additional pulley \u2013 but you forget about it as soon as you start enjoying the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re now preparing the bike to go on tour, as it will be handed over to our trusted dealers<\/strong>, where you\u2019ll be able to see it live and even test it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
