The Ripmo AF V2 elevates the legendary performance of the Ripmo into an even more robust, affordable aluminum package – with 160 mm of front and 150 mm of rear travel, efficient DW-Link suspension, and a flip chip system that allows riding with 29-inch or mixed (MX: 29″/27.5″) wheel setups in all sizes. It’s built for steep descents, rough terrain, and climbs where it rides better than you’d expect. It holds speed and composure even when pushed well beyond the limit, delivering the same legendary ride experience as the carbon Ripmo – only in a more accessible, ultra-durable aluminum version.
The frame is available in five sizes – S, M, XM (Extra-Medium), L, and XL – with size-specific seat tube angles and suspension kinematics so all riders get the same balanced feel, regardless of height or proportions. About 80% of riders fall between roughly 165 and 183 cm (5’5”–6’0”), so we added the XM size to fill the gap in the middle of the range; if you were reliably an L or XL before, your size remains unchanged. Chainstay length and bottom bracket height are also tuned to each size, helping keep the center of gravity where it should be and ensuring predictable handling.
With the new flip chip, all sizes can easily switch between full 29er and MX configurations without disrupting the geometry. XM and larger frames come stock with 29-inch wheels, while S and M sizes come with the MX setup; choose whichever suits you best.
DW-Link remains the heart of the rear suspension – efficient when pedaling, calm and planted on aggressive descents. Drawing from experience with the race-proven HD6, we updated the Ripmo AF with a more progressive curve, shorter clevis, and enough room for a coil, making the frame compatible with most coil shocks on the market. Size-specific kinematics ensure that every frame pedals equally well and stays quiet on demanding trails.
A large internal storage compartment is hidden in the downtube, lightening the load in your backpack. The latch works reliably even in mud, cold, and with gloves. The door is waterproof, rattle-free, and built to last. Included are two internal pouches for tools, snacks, or whatever you need; they’re made from durable, waterproof materials with a bright liner so you can quickly find what you’re looking for.
